Marriage – A Sign of Faithful Love
This sacrament is the sacred covenant forged between a man and a woman which establishes a permanent partnership for their whole lives. The Sacrament of Marriage, or Holy Matrimony, is a mutual surrendering of oneself totally to another and a public statement about God: the loving union of husband and wife speaks of family values and also God’s values.
“They are no longer two, therefore, but one body.” (Matt. 19:6)
Pre-Cana (Engaged Couples)
Designed to inform the engaged couple of the theology and practice of marriage, Pre-Cana sessions are held around the Diocese on a rotating basis. Two sessions each year are hosted at Christ the King by a team of couples who are responsible for making presentations.
Matrimony
Contact a priest of the parish at least six months in advance of the planned marriage date.
